01/11/2010 - Senator Fedor hosted the 1st Annual Human Trafficking Awareness Day at the Statehouse on January 11, 2010. CLICK HERE to view the video from the event.
The turn-out was tremendous and many new modern-day abolitionists were inspired to get involved with Senator Fedor's movement against human trafficking. Ambassador Mark Lagon, CEO of the Polaris Project, delivered the keynote address. Also speaking was Attorney General Richard Cordray, U.S. Attorneys Carter Stewart & Steven Dettelbach, Rep. Kathleen Chandler, Sen. Jim Hughes, and Dawn Conway - Sr. Vice President for Corporate Responsibility at Lexis Nexis. 12/11/2009 - Senator Fedor introduced Senate Resolution 133 recognizing January 11th as Human Trafficking Awareness Day. Read the resolution below:

11/12/2009 - Senator Fedor was named "State Senate Legislator of the Year" by the Vietnam Veterans of America - Buckeye State Council Chapter for her commitment to issues affecting veterans, servicemen & women, and their families.
10/31/2009 - The NAACP Toledo Unit bestowed Senator Fedor with the "Outstanding Community Service" award for her work in the community and her efforts to keep Aunt Minnie's Foods in Toledo's Central City.
