About Your Senator

Senator Teresa Fedor is currently serving her second term in the Ohio Senate representing the 11th Senate District. She pursued her passion for public service in 2000 and was elected to serve the 52nd district in the Ohio House of Representatives in 2001. A proud veteran, she served in the United States Air Force and Ohio Air National Guard. She then attended the University of Toledo, received a Bachelor of Science in Education and spent 18 years as a classroom teacher.

Protecting our most vulnerable young Ohioans is a driving force for her. During the first few months of the current General Assembly, Senator Fedor introduced legislation that will curtail the growing problem of cyber bullying of school children; create health standards in Ohio’s schools; and ensure that military children are given the same educational opportunities as other children. In the past, she proposed legislation to improve access to contraception and increase accessibility to children’s health insurance.

Throughout her 8-year legislative career, Teresa Fedor has championed responsive and responsible government. During her recent years in the Senate, she has helped to unveil the Bureau of Workers Compensation coin scandal, made certain that Ohio’s voting machines leave a paper tail, and worked collaboratively with the majority and the governor during the last two budgets.
